This is the second time that this has happened, with a similar incident occurring in March that forced him to miss a number of games. The image of Morant is unmistakable and comes from inside a car, with a friend alongside him.

His actions were immediately condemned by the Grizzlies, who were swift to take action. As stated later by commissioner Adam Silver, the NBA also decided to suspend him, pending further investigation into the case.
