As first reported by Relevo, Ronaldo was granted permission to train at Valdebebas, though away from Real's first team. Ronaldo's Portugal exited the World Cup just two days ago after a quarter-final loss to Morocco and the five time Ballon d'Or winner came off the bench for both of their matches in the knockout round.
The 37-year-old will be free to join any club as a free agent from January 1st after he and Manchester United agreed to part ways late this November. While at the World Cup, he denied reports about him possibly joining Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr on a lucrative deal, simply saying "No, it's not true."
According to Goal, Ronaldo would not be opposed to re-joining Real on a 'minimal salary'. The club is reportedly not interested in that, despite a good relationship with the player that has led to him being allowed to train at their facilities in the first place. Multiple reports since this summer have also linked Ronaldo with a return to his boyhood club Sporting. But it seems nothing will be certain until the transfer window is in full swing during January.
