The weekend has arrived meaning our focus shifts to the major leagues around Europe. We have no shortage of action today with Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea all playing in the Premier League as well as Bayern Munich and Inter on the continent.

Sunday, September 29th

Listen to live commentary of the Madrid derby with Flashscore

21:28 CET - Diego Moreira has given Strasbourg a shock lead against in-from Marseille just before the break with a low driven strike from inside the box.

21:22 CET - Napoli have made a flying start in Serie A and after 40 minutes they find themselves 2-0 up against Monza thanks to goals from Matteo Politano and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

21:20 CET - 20 minutes into the game and it is Real who are on top so far as Fede Velverde went close with a long range effort. Atletico predictably are sitting in deep and looking to hit Real on the counter. 0-0.

21:00 CET - The Madrid derby is underway! Who do you think will come out on top?

20:45 CET - Elsewhere in Europe, high-flying Marseille are underway on the road to Strasbourg and Napoli have kicked-off at home to Monza.

20:35 CET - The focus of the evening now turns firmly to LaLiga where we are just over 20 minutes away from the start of the Madrid derby.

Kylian Mbappe is out injured for Real which is a blow for the visitors. As for Atletico, Julian Alvarez and Conor Gallagher make their Madrid derby debuts.

19:54 CET - Empoli and Fiorentina have played out a drab stalemate in Serie A, a result which sees the former move into sixth in the table.

19:32 CET - In the Bundesliga, Werder Bremen secured a remarkable comeback win, beating Hoffenheim 4-3 after trailing 3-0 after just 12 minutes. The game turned in the 18th minute when a player was sent off for the home side, and Werder Bremen took full advantage.

19:28 CET - A sobering day for Manchester United and Erik ten Hag, as they are humiliated 3-0 at home by Tottenham. A truly dismal, shocking performance, and the pressure is surely mounting big time on Ten Hag. How long can he last?

For Spurs, it is an eye-catching win; a performance and victory that they needed after an inconsistent start to the season. Winning at Old Trafford is always a big result for any team, even with United playing this poorly.

They totally overwhelmed a United team that looked bereft of ideas. A good day for Ange Postecoglou.

19:11 CET - And it is 3-0 to Spurs, with Dominic Solanke now getting on the scoresheet. Abysmal day in the office for United.

18:57 CET - Over in Ligue 1, St Ettiene have fought back from 2-0 down to claim a draw at Nantes.

18:40 CET - Just minutes into the second half, Spurs have doubled their lead against United, courtesy of Dejan Kulusevski. Game over already?

18:21 CET - That has been a genuinely horrendous half of football from Manchester United. Brennan Johnson opened the scoring in the first few minutes, and it has been one-way traffic since. Spurs will be frustrated that they aren't leading by more with all the big chances they have missed.

United have been utterly dismal, and their woes were compounded when captain Bruno Fernandes was sent off. Can they come up with anything at all in the second half?

18:12 CET - And that is how it finishes in the Basque Country with the points shared between Athletic Club and Sevilla - a point earned the hard way in the end for the Andalusians.

18:10 CET - It's heartbreak for Athletic Club, who have seen goalkeeper Alex Padilla put the ball in his own net in stoppage time to give Sevilla a late leveller at San Mames after coming on as a second-half substitute.

Meanwhile, in that remarkable Bundlesliga clash, Werder Bremen have come all the way back from three down to level the game up five minutes before the break - Jens Stage with his second of the afternoon.

17:57 CET - More action in the late Bundesliga clash with our fifth goal in just 27 minutes. Werder Bremen have reduced the deficit once again, this time through Jens Stage. It's now 3-2 in their game against Hoffenheim.

17:56 CET - Off the post! Brennan Johnson nearly doubles his tally for Spurs against United, only to see his effort cannon back off the upright. It's an ominous sign for Erik ten Hag's men.

17:52 CET - This game between Hoffenheim and Werder Bremen is chaos! After going three up, the hosts are now down to 10 men after Stanley Nsoki was given his marching orders. Bremen now have a goal back midway through the first half, thanks to a goal from Julian Malatini.

17:48 CET - Both 17:00 CET Ligue 1 games are at the break, with both Reims and Nantes ahead against Angers and St Etienne respectively.

17:45 CET - A quite incredible start for Hoffenheim in their Bundesliga clash against Werder Bremen, as they have taken a 3-0 lead in just 13 minutes to blow their opponents away.

Two have come from Marius Bulter, whilst the other has come from Adam Hlozek.

17:33 CET - Tottenham have taken an early lead against Manchester United at Old Trafford through Brennan Johnson in just the third minute to silence the stadium! A sign of things to come today?

Elsewhere, Ipswich are level with Aston Villa, making it 2-2 at Portman Road - Liam Delap netting his second of the game to give his side a huge boost with 15 minutes to play.

16:30 CET - Back to Serie A, where Patrick Cutrone has scored his second of the day to put Como 2-1 up against the 10 men of Verona with around 20 minutes to go.

16:24 CET - The lineups are in for the clash between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur with one big name missing.
