Ronnie O'Sullivan (47) has beaten Pang Junxu (23) 10-7 at the World Snooker Championship in Sheffield.
'The Rocket' stormed to a 5-0 lead before Pang asserted himself in later frames, reducing the deficit to 6-3.
O'Sullivan then claimed the next two, before his opponent hit back by winning three on the bounce to make it 9-7 after the pair traded frames.
'The Rocket' then finished the job by winning the 17th and final frame.
Next up for O'Sullivan will be either Ding Junhui (36) or Hossein Vafaei (28), who face off tomorrow.
