Whilst the early games in Bogota, Colombia have come to a close with wins for Peyton Stearns (21), Tamara Zidansek (25), Tatjana Maria (35) - all in straight sets - whilst Carolina Alves (26) had to battle in three sets to advance.

14:25 CET - With all of the news away from the court, it is easy to forget that we have plenty of action all across the world today. We also have our first result of the day from Estoril where Miomir Kecmanovic (24) has beaten Luca Nardi (19) 6-4, 6-1.
13:05 CET - Another big name has dropped out of the Monte Carlo Masters with Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime (22), ranked seventh in the world, pulling out of the tournament, explaining he has been struggling with a left knee issue.
"(I) decided it was the smartest decision to take some time off so I'm able to fully heal and recover before my next tournament at the Madrid Open," Auger-Aliassime wrote on Instagram.
12:35 CET - Both Rafael Nadal (36) and Carlos Alcaraz (19) have announced that they'll miss next week's Monte Carlo Masters through injury.
Nadal has been out since the Australian Open and was planning to make his return at the start of the clay season in Monaco, but stated on Twitter that he isn't fit enough to do so.
"I am still not ready to compete at the highest level. I will not be able to play in one of the most important tournaments of my career, Monte Carlo," he said in a statement.
Alcaraz meanwhile was expected to follow up his run to the semi-final at the Miami Open by competing in the Monte Carlo Masters for the second time.
However, he's withdrawn after feeling discomfort in his loss to Jannik Sinner in Florida and getting a medical evaluation as a result.
"After visiting my doctor today... and being evaluated, I won't be able to go to Monte Carlo to start the clay court tour," said the US Open champion.

9:26 CET - Ukrainian players do not get enough support from women's tennis governing body WTA amid Russia's invasion of their country, Elina Svitolina (28) said on Tuesday.
Svitolina, back on the tour at the Charleston Open after a maternity break, spoke to support fellow Ukrainian player Lesia Tsurenko, who said she withdrew from the Indian Wells tournament because of a panic attack brought on by a conversation the 33-year-old had days earlier with WTA chief executive Steve Simon about tennis's response to the Russian invasion.
"We are afraid, we feel empty. What is happening to Lesia is very sad. People who haven't experienced it can't really understand what it feels like to have no home, to feel safe nowhere, to have family in Ukraine, under the bombs, to know that Ukrainian cities are being destroyed. It's both fear and a great emptiness," Svitolina, who was the world number 20 when she took a break from the tour to give birth, told French sports daily l'Equipe.

Yulia Putintseva needed almost three hours to win against Elina Svitolina through three sets; 7-6, 2-6, 4-6.
Meanwhile, in the men's tour in Houston Australian Jason Kubler got past Spaniard Fernando Verdasco with a 6-7, 0-6 result.
In a just under two-hour contest, Steve Johnson rallied against Facundo Bagnis, 7-6, 1-6, 6-1, to progress to the next round.
