He reached the final last year where he lost to Novak Djokovic and will be aiming to go one step further this time around.

17:11 CET - Daniil Medvedev (27) has defeated Yannick Hanfmann (31) 6-2, 6-2 to book a spot in the semi-finals in Rome.

11:06 CET - Iga Swiatek (21) took to social media this morning to update her fans on the injury she sustained last night in her match against Elena Rybakina (23).
"During the second set, I got a thigh injury. The diagnostic is in progress. More info in the following days," she posted.
8:39 CET - Last night, Elena Rybakina (23) reached the last four in Rome, after Iga Swiatek (21) retired with a thigh injury during their final set. The Pole had cruised through the first set 6-2, but Rybakina battled back to snatch the second on a tiebreak.
Swiatek looked to have sustained her injury while 6-4 down in the tiebreak, and with the players locked at 2-2 in the third set, Swiatek decided she was unable to continue. Rybakina will now face Jelena Ostapenka (25) on Friday for a place in the final.
