Zizou Bergs (25) also won, just to advance to the second round, defeating Manuel Guinard (28) 6-4, 6-4.
14:56 CET - Barbora Krejcikova (28) has beaten Jessica Pegula (30) 6-3, 6-3 in the pair's second match in Group B at the WTA Finals.
The Czech Wimbledon champion now has one win and one loss while Pegula is in trouble after suffering her second defeat.
Next up in Riyadh, Iga Swiatek (23) and Coco Gauff (20) face off at 16:00 CET.
14:20 CET - The day's action in Belgrade is underway with Roman Safiullin (27) defeating Fabio Fognini (37) 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the second round while Hamad Madjedovic (21) also won, beating Aleksandar Kovacevic (26) 7-6, 6-4 to book the first quarter-final berth.
