Cremonese fall just short of elusive victory in four-goal Torino draw
The visitors came close to opening the scoring in under 60 seconds when Marco Benassi fired over from the edge of the area.
They soon had goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi to thank for ensuring the game remained all square though, as he made a fine stop to deny Antonio Sanabria at the other end.
In truth, chances were few and far between, and the home fans grew more and more frustrated as Yann Karamoh blazed one opening haplessly over the bar from inside the box, before Mergim Vojvoda saw his ambitious long-range effort saved.
They were gifted the chance to break the deadlock just before the break though, as Leonardo Sernicola brought down Ivan Ilic in the box, with Sanabria duly dispatching the resulting penalty.
That eased any tension around the stadium, although Torino were still frustrated in their efforts to kick on and put the game to bed after the break.
Indeed, the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino was sent into a stunned silence when Cremonese grabbed an equaliser out of absolutely nowhere before the hour mark, as Frank Tsadjout expertly curled home via the post from inside the box.
Charles Pickel then forced a stunning save out of Vanja Milinkovic-Savic as Davide Ballardini’s side grew in confidence, and they took the lead when Valeri hammered a thunderbolt into the top corner from 20 yards with just 15 minutes left.
It was no more than the visitors deserved, but they could not hold on, as that seemed to finally wake Torino up.
Singo calmly levelled shortly afterwards, slotting home from inside the box, while Carnesecchi came to the rescue as he saved Sanabria’s late header.
